-OOC-

High Rank Desired: Leader [Achieved] ((SCORE))

Referred by: I am the founder. Me? I guess?

Roleplayer notes to other players: If you want to roleplay with Patchstar, please note me or comment below! Also, please let me know if you want to have a backstory with her. Since she's the leader, that wouldn't be uncommon! Haha! She was so salty back in the day.

Adopted from: (N/A - I own Patchstar and did not adopt her from anyone, so I don't need to fill this in)

-Character-

Name: Patchkit|Patchpaw| Patchstar| Patchpond

[Patch] - for her pelt and markings

[Star] - for her rank of leader

Clan: TideClan

Age (moons): 55[Lives: 9/9]

Rank: Leader

Gender:Female(dfab)

Breed: Mixed

Appearance details: A medium sized she-cat with small but bright eyes. She has quite a few knicks and scars on her body, but all are hidden by fur except for the large scars on her stomach.

-History-

Born to Rosestar and Thriftwhisker during the time of peace. Rosestar still assisted with a lot of her leaderly duties during the pregnancy/Patchpond's kithood, Shellfang took over a lot of the work during this time. It was then he realised how greatly he wanted to be leader and how likely it was the possibility would pass him by.

Kit: Patchkit came into the world as the leader's only kit. That was, until Crow was born. After his birthmother's death, her mother and Thriftwhisker adopted the young kit. She saw him as her own kin, even from an early age. Her mother left the nursery, called away by the duties' of a leader, but she never felt alone. She had Crowkit and the other queens to raise her. Although she was never lonely, she blamed her mother's absence for their inability to connect. She always loved and respected her mother and she would love to fill her pawsteps, but they never clicked in the motherly/daughterly way she would have liked them to. This is something she would reflect on long into the future.

Apprentice: Patchpaw was assigned Fawnface as a mentor - her aunt. Early on in her Apprenticeship, at eight moons old, the betrayal of Shellfang occurred. She lost her father in this battle, because he shielded her from an attack. She would also suffer the loss of many of the well-known clanmates either through death or the clan’s separation. This disrupted her official training, but she did learn a lot of practical skills during the divide. As well as the harsh realities of being a warrior.

The rest of her apprenticeship continued on as unhindered as it could be considering the circumstances.

Warrior: Being a warrior was very difficult in the time of war. As QuakeClan had control of the beach in their territory, every trip to the mainland resulted in a battle. She found herself on patrols often and found her self injured even more frequently. She was a young warrior but grew skilled in applied experience. She did not take an apprentice for some time due to injuries sustained in a skirmish. When she was well enough, she took Ravenpaw on as an apprentice.

Deputy: Patchstar became deputy at 42 moons, after her predecessor (and former mentor) Fawnface was killed in the Dusk of scattered kin. Rosestar was down to one life at this stage but her mother maintained the strength she had held throughout her life. Patchstar was the initiative behind protecting her mother’s last life. She took on a lot of her duties at this time, much to Rosestar’s frustration. She accompanied her mother to the Star Pool for the last time and this was also when she received her lives.

Leader: After the death of her mother, Patchstar became leader. Her main goal is to bring complete peace to the two clans so that no future cats will have to go through what she had to. She is optimistic about this goal, seeing as Quakeclan has a new leader. At this stage in her life, she has lost nearly everyone she held dear. This has really taken its toll on her and changed her a lot from who she was as a younger cat. But it also has mellowed her out a bit more and she's nicer, more formal and more respectable.

Life 1 [Thriftwhisker - courage]: Patchstar is still on her first life and has not lost it yet. She is on this life at the start of roleplay.

-About-

Personality:

:bulletgreen:Three good traits, :bulletyellow:Three neutral traits, :bulletred:Three bad traits,

:bulletgreen: - Quick - Patchstar is quick in wit, tongue and literal speed. Her quick thinking and swift tactics are of great assistance to her in battle. She’s also quick to a joke and to process the words of others. She is flexible and fast in the water and on land.

:bulletgreen: - Adaptable - Patchstar prides herself on her adaptability. Having been thrown in many strange and unexpected situation throughout her life, she thought it best to change to fit them. With this adaptability comes an open-mindedness. She will adapt her views and opinions if the situation calls for it. She is open and willing to change to fit any situation.

:bulletgreen: - Intelligent - Not at the discredit of her claws, Patchstar’s mind has always been the sharpest thing about her. In her younger years, her intelligence gave her a big ego. She would often interject in conversations . Age and experience has mellowed her out and she is a lot more level headed now. Her pride for her intelligence is now a silent one, but to have someone insult it would hit her hard.

:bulletyellow: - Cautious - Patchstar’s main allure as a leader is that she is quick thinking when it is needed. However, if something doesn’t require an immediate decision, that speed of thought turns against her. It doesn’t take her long to run through possible outcomes and threats and these stick with her. This causes her to act with caution on these sort of decisions, which can guarantee that they will be thoroughly thought out. However, this tendency to overthink may prevent her from taking action out of wariness.

:bulletyellow: - Reflective - Patchstar spends a lot of time reflecting on the past. This helps her evaluate her mistakes and apply that knowledge to the future. It can however, cause her to be too stuck in the past. Too obsessed with past failures. It can assist her greatly, or take up her attention and cloud her judgement.

:bulletyellow: - Dry-humoured - The TideClan leader’s sense of humour could be best described as dry. To those who are close and know her well, that’s simply how she expresses herself and makes fun. However, it can be harder for others to understand this and her serious disposition while delivering what she calls humour, can often take certain cats aback. It may make her seem very mean and cold. This can make social interactions difficult.

:bulletred: - Formalities - Her social skills leave much to be desired. The right intent and the emotions are there, but they aren’t always translated into the right words. She has trouble getting her point across and may accidentally mislead other cats. She is not sure how she should act towards her clanmates as a leader - what level of formality is too much?

:bulletred: - Miserable - She is easily disheartened and clings onto negative emotions. She is very mopey and sometimes can not move past sad events. After her mother’s death, she threw herself entirely into leading her clan and solving the dispute with QuakeClan, but she spends a lot of her alone time being a sadsack. She thinks it’s important to present a strong facade as a leader - as her mother did - but it is known that as a warrior, she often gave into her miserableness. She still does, even if not in public.

:bulletred: - Intense - Patchstar's intensity is not intentional, but it's something that follows her. It could be mistaken for passion, but only really shows itself in negative situations. It could be taken as a lack of social filters in certain scenarios, or her just not knowing her limits. It can often show itself as anger. Her intensity is probably a result of her life during the clan's constant battles. She can take things far too seriously. She is a very salty cat.

Likes: Watching the clan wake up

Dislikes: Strong tides and dangerous waves

Skilled at: Fighting

Average at: Swimming

Weak at: Endurance

Other notable information: Although she is more skilled at Fighting, she enjoys swimming far more.

Aspirations and Motivations: Aspired to be leader in her mother's pawsteps. Rosestar is her greatest inspiration even in death and she hopes she can live up to her legacy.

Outlook on life/Motto: With the right goal and an adaptable spirit, nothing can stop you.

Afterlife opinion: ‘StarClan? They're definitely real? Why would you ask me that?’

Warrior code opinion: ‘It is an important guide in my life, but I believe a leader may sometimes have to work against the code. Its priority depends on the situation.’

-StarClan-

Rosestar|NPC - me|:star::heart::blackrose:[:bulletwhite:|:bulletpurple:|:bulletblue:] - Patchstar's greatest inspiration. She missed her mother dearly and hopes to do her honour and follow in her pawsteps. She is still grieving over her mother's death, but knows she passed on the way she would have wanted.

Thriftwhisker|NPC - me|:star::heart:[:bulletwhite:|:bulletpurple:|:bulletpurple:] - Her father was warm and kind and that's what she remembers most about him. He was very important to her and it's a shame that most of her memories of him are from the nursery. She wished he had been with her to grow up. His sacrifice to protect her always stuck with her and she still feels an immense guilt about it.

Daisyheart|NPC - me|:star::heart:[:bulletwhite:|:bulletpurple:|:bulletpurple:] - Her father's sister was a kind cat and loyal to Tide until the end. Patchstar wished she'd have gotten to know her better. She told good stories.

Fawnface|NPC - me|:star::heart::blackrose:[:bulletwhite:|:bulletgreen:|:bulletblue:] - Fawnface's influence on Patchstar's life was obvious and not at all surprising. She learnt a lot from her during her apprenticeship and continued to learn from her example as a warrior. She held her down in the tough times and kept her level-headed. Patchstar shouted the loudest at her deputy ceremony. The death of her mentor hit her almost as hard as the death of her mother.

-Roleplay-

Patchstar always loved the feeling of the forest floor on her pads after a night of rain. Her paws would glide silently over the leaf litter as though she was weightless. It was the only time she felt graceful on land.

She padded through the territory with pride, thoughts occupied with matters of the clan when an out-of-place scent caught her attention.

The she-cat sniffed at the air with caution. Wild garlic.

She held her tail erect and the TideClan cats took her signal to halt immediately.

In her naivety, Mottlepaw almost questioned their leader's decision to stop out loud. She might have too, had her mentor not quickly stuffed his tail in her mouth to silence her.

Patchstar turned to Acornpaw.

"Go back to camp. Round up as many cats as you are able," she said in the quietest whisper she could manage.

Wild Garlic.

The only patch of the stuff was on the other side of the forest. That could only mean one thing.

An ambush was waiting for them
